“Colorblind”

Have I mentioned how the light rail doesn’t come down to the hood? How there are ZERO park and rides in South Phoenix?

No light rail in Memphis at all…but the bus does come to my little corner of the ‘hood.

Oh, and thanks for the comment about my son’s football team. The “ghetto” contingent at our game was very positive, as well, cheering not only for our team, but for any good plays made by the other team. They also welcomed the grandmother of the other team’s only black kid when she joined us in the stands. And they had spent the drive to the field making up cheers for the team. After the game, the man in charge of timekeeping and scorekeeping came up to our section of bleachers and told us (collectively) that we were the loudest and most exciting group of spectators he’d seen/heard all season. Made for a fun night, for sure.
